H.E.A.R.T.

Health Education And Relationship Training

H.E.A.R.T. is more than just Abstinence Education, it is an opportunity for youth to take a "timeout" and think about the choices they are making and assess how those choices will impact them later in life. Students have walked away from the presentation with a whole new understanding of relationships and their future.

In addition, they are challenged to make healthy goals with some simple steps on how to accomplish them. The reason this program has such a high success rate is

because it is a smaller setting with lots of opportunity to involve the students and essentially meet the needs of each individual class. H.E.A.R.T. gives over 40 presentations each year in public schools and private venues. In the last 13 years they have spoken to over 25,000 students. It's message is interactive, engaging, upbeat and educational with the basis of the message being "Abstinence."

During the 2011-2012 school year, 263 students said they were unsure if they would wait until marriage to have sex before hearing the presentation. After hearing the presentation, 364 kids said they would wait until marriage to have sex- that is a 38.4% increase!

Each presenter brings their own unique story and experience. They are interactive and relatable to this generation. This message is done over two consecutive days in a classroom setting. Day one builds repport with the students, it focus's on dreams, goals, peer pressure, life choices, their impact, character, and day two, focus's on love verses infatuation, emotional and physical intimacy, boundaries, consequences and starting over. The two day approach helps them recieve the message of Abstinence in a way that makes it attainable because it not only allows the students to make a connection with the presenter, but it delivers the message of Abstinence in an authentic, personal and real way.

Although this is a two day presentation it can be tailored to fit your classroom needs.
